Austria
Passport Projects – Direct Distribution: 1 x C3000 card affixing and mailing system with a passport channel. For the mailing of ID cards and passports. Configured to identify the passport via a barcode label on the back cover, print and half fold a corresponding letter, feed the passport, insert into a closed-face envelope together with up to 2 selective inserts, check the weight of the final package and ink jet address the address. A second delivery table allows mailings with special requirements to be delivered in a separate stream.

ID Card Projects – Indirect Distribution: 2 x CISS card inspection systems for full inspection of front & reverse of ID cards. Grouping, banding and labelling. Packages delivered either into automatic vault, DCS, or transported to packaging line. Card packages can be grouped together with passports for a specific branch according to SLA. Packaging of passports and cards, overwrapping, labelling and full audit trail. 2 x PHS DL PIN printing and mailing systems. The double label PIN construction is the most secure there is. The PIN can be used for online functions for internet and e-Government applications. The PIN letter also informs the citizen that his/her ID card can be collected from the local office.
Driver’s License/Vehicle Projects: 1 x C3000 card attaching and mailing system to mail the national digital tachograph driver smart cards. The system attaches chip cards to pre-printed letters, folds and inserts into window envelopes together with enclosures.

Mexico
ID Card Projects – Direct Distribution: 4 x C6000 card attaching and mailing systems. The systems attach cards to pre-printed letters, fold and insert into window envelopes together with enclosures. 4 x CISS card inspection & sorting systems.
Philippines
Passport Projects – Indirect Distribution: PPS-SP. Sorting, cross-banding and labelling of passports into branch groups. Multiple pass process. First pass identifies each passport by reading a barcode label on the back cover and sorts the passports into one of 13 hoppers (12 good, one for rejects). The second pass takes these pre-sorted passports and sorts again into 12 hoppers. After the main sort, the passports are transferred to the banding module where passports are counted into groups, turned, cross banded and labelled for branch delivery.
South Korea
Passport Projects – Indirect Distribution: 3 systems for passport verification, sorting and banding. PPS-V, PPS-S and PPS-P. The PPS-V system feeds the passports, opens to the data page, reads and verifies the required data, closes the book, prints and applies a barcode label onto the rear cover. The PPS-S system feeds the books, reads the barcode and sorts the passport into one of 56 hoppers. The PPS-P packaging system takes the sorted passports, identifies them, counts, turns and groups them into the required batch for each branch, cross bands the batch and then prints and applies a label to each stack with a full audit trail.

United Kingdom
Passport Projects – Direct Distribution: PHS pin handling system. Used to affix RFID labels to passport pages to enable tracking of books through production.
ID Card Projects – Indirect Distribution: 1 x CASSilo and 1 x special card affixing and inserting system to mail the “blue badge” for the disabled person’s parking scheme. The blue badge is approximately 147 x 116mm in size and needs to be mailed with a parking disc / clock and the correct parking terms and conditions for the region. The systems read the badge, print and fold a corresponding letter, affix the badge, archive an image of the carrier and badge and insert into a window envelope together with the clock and other selective inserts.
United States of America
ID Card Projects – Direct Distribution: 4 x CASSera card attaching and mailing systems to mail the US Green Cards for certain States. Configured to feed and identify cards from a barcode, print a corresponding letter, affix the card, fold the letter and insert together with up to three selective inserts into a window envelope.
Driver’s License / Vehicle Projects: 3 x CASSilo for the driver’s license.

ID Card Projects – Direct Distribution: CISS for quality assurance, grouping and banding. Feeds ID cards from Maurer hoppers, video inspection of card front, turn, video inspection of reverse, RFID check. Inline grouping, cross-banding and labelling of batches for 200 branch destinations.

In the case of direct dispatch, the documents are sent directly to the recipients after duly having been personalized by the card or pass producer, or by an independent Card Agency. The packet can also contain, together with the relevant document, a personalized letter, security instructions, or PIN documents, all of which must of course be correctly attributed to the right recipient. One matter is here very clear: the enormous importance of matching the right contents of the right mailing to the right receiver.

In the case of indirect dispatch, the documents are NOT sent directly to the recipients after duly having been personalized by the card or pass producer, or by an independent Card Agency, but rather to a central responsible Issuing Office. To minimize posting charges, and to keep delays to a minimum, special intelligent dispatch systems are used, which collect the already personalized documents and take care of the optimal package size and most appropriate dispatch date. These systems can also automatically produce and enclose delivery notes, or include single products for possible special delivery. Naturally, also in this method of dispatch, the absolute avoidance of error in the matching of identification documents has the very highest priority.
Indirect dispatch
In the case of indirect dispatch to local registration offices, the products would as a rule be identified, grouped or sorted, and then sleeve-wrapped. Following this, the shipment can be securely stored or prepared for dispatch. Delivery notes or other necessary documents can be printed and enclosed with the package. All products and documents are then enveloped or packed in cartons. Boxes can be gathered together and jacketed with clingfoil in order to save postage costs.

Direct dispatch
As a rule, cards and passes are first identified, and then a relative accompanying letter is printed. An ID card can be attached directly to such a letter. Products and their accompanying letters can be selectively added to with further enclosures and put into envelopes, which are either addressed per ink-jet printer, or they are provided with an address window.
