PIN
PIN Label:
For that extra little bit of security when posting confidential information, a PIN label serves in many applications to provide a code of alphanumeric combination which is as a rule hidden and has to be damaged to reveal its information. PIN letters are often sent in conjunction with credit cards, debit cards, SIM cards or online access codes.
Our PHS series is put together in a modular way and ensures the secure generation; attachment and packing of PIN letters and can reach different levels of security depending on the given application.
Peel-off Label
The label, optionally made from paper or from Voidfoil, is removed for the reading of the PIN either by tearing the perforated grab-tab or by pulling the top layer of the foil label off with help of the provided tab. By peeling away the label, a hidden message reveals itself and a primary opening is thus clearly indicated. With both label variants it is impossible to read the concealed message by using a light source of any kind.
Scratch Label
The PIN-coverings consist of a transparent film with an imprinted scratch coating. A very complicated security kisscutting method prevents the removal of the label and its reapplication without this act being noticed. An illumination through the scratch coat with a bright source of light is not possible because the scratch coat is completely opaque.
Void Label
The void labels are stuck over the number with adhesive thus securely cover and hide the PIN. The void effect which is integrated in this label appears first when a manipulation attempt takes place. The label can be provided with one or several scratch coats, the void effect can be freely chosen, and also the colour of the Voidfoil can be matched to the customer`s requirements.
Double Layer
With this label it is a question of a 2-label system. The lower label becomes glued onto the covering letter, and then the PIN is printed onto the lower label and is sealed then with the upper label. For the reading of the PIN the scratch field is simply exposed.
The upper label consists of a freely-selected void foil and also the scratch field can be designed freely (e.g. with a customer-specific hologram).
This form of the PIN protection is completely secure and has been classified at the highest security level.
PIN processing
– modular systems for flexible processing –
PIN Single Label
PHS – version SL
The system uses standard laser paper. The back of the paper has been provided with a specific matrix. As soon as a label is attached over the PIN, the PIN is no longer visible from the back.
One or more security labels may be attached also to the cover letter. The printing of the layout occurs by means of laser printing. Optionally one can fold the cover letter after that and enclose it in an envelope.
It is also possible to integrate our PIN modules into our other mailing systems.
PIN Double Label
PHS – version DL
The cover letter is printed and the first label is put on that. It is possible that several labels (PIN & TAN) can be dispensed. In the second step the PIN-number is printed onto the label. Immediately following the printing of the PIN number the second label is attached over the PIN number. The PIN is now no longer visible and s locked completely securely between the two labels.
It is also possible to integrate our PIN modules into our other mailing systems.
